The Yongjiang Talent Innovation Center was launched in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province on April 20 in honor of the first ever Ningbo Talents Day.
The center was designed to help drive economic development in the city by attracting talents and incubating innovative startups.
Local authorities hope to bring together a multitude of talents, technologies, capital, and information resources in the center, which will be dedicated to providing comprehensive services for high-tech projects in the city and the Yangtze River Delta region as a whole, especially in terms of technological guidance, market planning and financing.
Specifically, a system of shared services will be built in the center, including a conference hall, an exhibition area and a fitness center. An intelligent management system will also be applied for monitoring energy consumption, traffic and personnel flow.
Platforms will also be established to connect local companies with talents and projects.
In addition, the center will cooperate with the Ningbo Commerce Bank to establish a special bank to provide financial support for companies, with a total of 1 billion yuan ($149 million) of mortgage-free guarantee-free loans expected to be given out.
Currently there are 27 companies and institutions operating in the center.
